“That my friends is called a Receipt” - Fans react as WWE Superstar gets revenge on Seth Rollins for 7-year-old incident

  john

Fans have reacted as Finn Balor got his revenge on Seth Rollins for an incident that took place seven years ago.

Several years ago, Finn Balor battled Seth Rollins for the first-ever Universal Championship. During the match, Balor delivered a powerbomb to Balor in the barricade, injuring his shoulder. Although he won that match, he had to relinquish the title the very next night, and his career was never the same

Tonight on RAW, the two men squared off again in the semi-finals of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament. During the match, Balor delivered a similar powerbomb to Rollins before reminding the Visionary that he did the same thing to him seven years ago.

However, it didn't look like Rollins injured himself, as he was able to defeat Balor and make it to the finals of the tournament.

Finn Balor finally got his payback. #WWERaw

WWE fans were quick to react to the whole incident, with many stating that Balor has finally gotten his revenge on Seth.

Check out some of the reactions below:

@reigns_era He got his revenge! lol

One fan stated that this should've been the finals.

What next for Seth Rollins?

Seth Rollins had to overcome three opponents tonight before he made it to the finals of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament. In the first match, he defeated Shinsuke Nakamura and Damian Priest. Following that, he defeated Balor in the semi-finals.

Now Rollins will head to Night of Champions, where he will face the finalist from SmackDown. Just like tonight, WWE has announced two triple-threat matches for Friday.

In the first match on the blue brand, Edge, Rey Mysterio, and AJ Styles will square off in a dream match. The second one will see Austin Theory, Bobby Lashley, and Sheamus go face-to-face.

The winner of those two matches will face each other in the sem-finals on the main event of SmackDown. Whoever wins that match will head to Night of Champions to face Seth Rollins for the new World Heavyweight Championship.

While RAW's brackets looked slightly predictable, it's hard to predict which SmackDown star will be headed to Night of Champion. Whoever makes it to the finals, the fans can expect a treat given the caliber of talent involved.

Who do you think will face Seth Rollins at Night of Champions? Sound off in the comments section.
