In the WWE's storied history, there hasn't been a single WWE Superstar who has won all available titles in the WWE - simply because many titles have been retired (European, Hardcore, ECW) and many superstars would not be eligible for certain Championships like the Cruiserweight title.
However, it is possible to determine the Superstars that have captured all the major titles in the WWE. There would be many surprising omissions from the list, though.
Did you know that Hulk Hogan has never captured the Intercontinental, United States, European or Hardcore titles?
This list considers the WWE title, Universal title, United States Championship, Intercontinental Championship and any Tag team title (RAW/Smack Down/WWE/World) as the requirements for completing the active title grand slam.
This list includes five Superstars who have won all the major titles in the WWE and five who have surprisingly not.
Superstars who have retired before the introduction of the Universal title have also been included in the list, but superstars like The Miz, Chris Jericho and the Big Show who are still active and have not won the Universal title have been excluded.
Also excluded are those Superstars who have won a qualifying title outside the WWE - e.g. Ric Flair never captured the US title in the WWE but did so in WCW.
Bret Hart gets an honorary mention on the list for winning the WWE Championship, Intercontinental Championship, United States Championship and the Tag team titles in the WWE.
However, he never captured the European title in the WWE at a time when it was considered equivalent to the US title in present day WWE. Also, Hart's US title victory came at the expense of the Miz in a farcical match a decade after he had officially retired from in-ring action
#1 Randy Orton - No
Something missing from your title cabinet, Randy?
Randy Orton has been with the WWE for the last 16 years and has won numerous titles in the company. However, most of those titles have been the WWE/World Heavyweight Championships; "The Viper" has 13 of them.
This means that Orton has not challenged for the secondary titles very often. He did win the Intercontinental title way back in 2003 and has won the tag team titles with the likes of Edge and Bray Wyatt.
But Orton misses out on the list of WWE Grandslam Champions as he has never captured the United States Championship. Ironically, Orton has won a match for the United States title, though.
Back in 2006, Chris Benoit and Booker T engaged in a best of seven series for the US title. With the series tied at 3-3 and Booker injured, Orton substituted for Booker in the final match and beat Benoit. However, under WWE rules this meant that Booker won the series and the Championship.
#2 JBL - Yes
JBL has held them all
Excluding a slightly misleading 18 runs as Hardcore Champion -- at a time when the title was defended under 24*7 rules leading to multiple championship reigns lasting mere minutes -- JBL has won just seven titles during his 20-year career in the WWE.
However, in addition to his three reigns as WWE tag team champion as part of the APA, JBL has won the WWE, Intercontinental and the United States title once each which qualifies him for the Grandslam.
His first singles title victory came in 2001 when he beat The Hurricane for the European Championship on RAW.
Uniquely, JBL has either won or lost all his primary singles titles at a Wrestlemania.
JBL held the WWE title for nearly a year in 2004 before losing it to John Cena at Wrestlemania 21. The next Wrestlemania, he beat Chris Benoit to win the US title.
At Wrestlemania 25, he lost his Intercontinental title to Rey Mysterio in a record 21 seconds which turned out to be his final WWE match.
##3Triple H - No
Triple H was the second man to win the old WWE Grandslam after Shawn Michaels - winning the WWE, European, Intercontinental and Tag team titles. But like Michaels, Triple H misses out on capturing all available WWE titles due to his inability to win the United States Championship.
In all fairness to Hunter, he has never challenged for the US title on WWE TV and by the time it was introduced in the company, he was a main event player and it didn't make sense for him to challenge for a secondary title.
But the fact remains that despite having 12 years to capture the crown, the US title has eluded Triple H.
#4 Eddie Guerrero - Yes
it is entirely probable that WWE's last decade would have been completely different had Eddie Guerrero not tragically passed away in 2005. Only 38 years old at the time, Guerrero was the most popular Superstar in the company and looked set to have a sustained presence in the main event of the card.
Guerrero was feuding with the World Heavyweight Champion Batista at the time and looked ready to have another run with the title before his death. However, during his relatively short career in the WWE (five years), Guerrero had already won every title available.
Guerrero's first title was the European Championship which he gained by beating Chris Jericho. He would win the title once more, defeating Test.
He also became a two-time Intercontinental Champion with victories over Chyna and Rob Van Dam and he also captured the United States title defeating Chris Benoit.
Guerrero was also a four-time tag team Champion, partnering with the likes of Chavo Guerrero, Rey Mysterio and Tajiri.
But his greatest accomplishment in the WWE was when he won the WWE Championship against Brock Lesnar at No Way Out 2004 and successfully defended the title against Kurt Angle at that year's Wrestlemania.
#5Kurt Angle - Yes
The only man other than Chris Jericho to win all the featured titles in the WWE (except for the Universal title) is the current General Manager of RAW, Kurt Angle. What makes the achievement all the more remarkable is that it took Angle less than three years into his professional wrestling career to accomplish the feat.
In fact, before his debut year in the WWE had gone by, Angle had already captured the Intercontinental, European and the WWF titles in addition to winning the King of the Ring title.
"The Wrestling Machine" would go on to win the WCW Heavyweight title, the United States title and the Hardcore title during his second year in the WWE. He also claimed the only title that had eluded him by capturing the inaugural WWE tag team titles alongside Chris Benoit the next year.
To think that it happened in 2002 -- 15 years before Chris Jericho won the United States title to join Angle in the most exclusive club ever -- shows how great an entertainer Kurt Angle is.
